In honor of Women's History Month, we invite you to join in our #BelieveInHer campaign over the next 30 days. Our goal is to raise $5,000 to invest in the women of our community.

$25 -  ONE month of food supplies for a family at Seeds of Africa. Your gift provides lentils, grain, butter, soap, and oil to ensure our women can feed their children and our students can feed their minds!$50 - ONE Seeds of Africa Literacy Course for a Mother or Grandmother of our Students. Your gift will send one woman through the Seeds of Africa Literacy Course, and gives the opportunity for a woman to reach her full potential as a parent, community members and business owner.$250 - ONE Starter Business Loan for a mother or grandmother of our students. Help a woman support her family, bring jobs to her community and fulfill her dream. This gift will be given out as a loan and repaid after 12 months, then the loan will  be lent to another woman, and another. This gift will be felt in the Adama community for years.$500 - ONE Growing Business Loan to a female who has successfully repaid her first loans and built trust with the organization.  This loan will certainly be used to expand her business and put her family on a path to financial stability. 

JOIN OUR CAMPAIGN

Our Sowing Community program works with our students’ families, mainly mothers and grandmothers, to increase their household incomes and improve their quality of life. A goal of the program is to actively engage our students’ parents to better support their child’s learning and strengthen the broader Adama community. We do this by offering health education seminars, literacy courses, entrepreneurship training and access to credit to start or upgrade a business.

 Despite having the skills and passion to start a business, in Adama, like many parts of the developing world, without significant collateral it can be  impossible to take out a loan.  We see the unique potential in every female participant, and with a 95%repayment rate, many women have taken second and third loans to continue to grow their business and hire additional employees in Adama.  These women are more than clients, we consider them our partners in creating a healthier and more self-sufficient Ethiopia and World.
