Daniel's Story

When Daniel first entered Pre-K last year he was extremely shy and used to always look down at the floor. Today he is nearly unrecognizable, giggling hysterically in the one room home he shares with his parents and six siblings. Learning at Seeds has helped Daniel gain confidence and communicate better with his teachers, neighbors and fellow students. He excels academically and is currently the number two nursery student in his class. Most importantly, as his teacher explains, “Daniel can tell you what he thinks.”

Daniel’s mother, who DSC01188regularly  participates in our health programs and will soon receive her first loan as part of our microfinance program, beams as she speaks of her future dreams for her talented son: “First I hope that God will give him health. Then I hope that he will use his education to give back to his community.” Daniel hopes to do just that by aspiring to become a doctor!

Our #SeedsBackToSchool Campaign is halfway over and we have raised over 50% of our goal! We are also excited to announce that we have two pledges to match dollar for dollar gifts up to $2,000. Join the campaign and double your donation! THANK YOU!DONATE to #SeedsBacktoSchool
