We’re In This Together
Wherever you are in the world right now, you have been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. We are all united by a shared desire to protect ourselves and our loved ones from the risk of infection, and you are likely taking all the precautionary measures recommended by the WHO to protect yourself and your family.
As this pandemic sweeps through the world, it is exposing the acute challenges faced by families living in poverty.
In Ethiopia’s poorest communities, the average household of 4-6 family members live in small one or two room homes in communal compounds. Multiple families often share one source of clean water and one latrine. Because of these living conditions, basic precautionary measures like social distancing, working from home and regular hand washing with soap and clean water are unfeasible.
If we act quickly and collectively, we can provide the emergency supplies needed for protection against infection to the 350 vulnerable families we work with.
For the month of April, the cost of a 30-day basket supply of goods like soap and cooking oil is $30. We plan to keep 350 families afloat over the next 30 days.
CHIP IN $30 to support one family, $300 for 10 Families, or $3000 for 100 Families today.
Thank you in advance for your support. We’re in this together!
