On Monday, July 8th from 6 to 8:30 p.m, Seeds of Africa will host Cocktails & Community, a summer friendraiser event at The Fleur Room, New York’s newest and highest rooftop lounge located on the 35th floor of the Moxy Hotel in Chelsea. You’re invited!
Over a backdrop of glass-encased, showstopping 360-degree views of the Manhattan skyline, this event will feature networking over cocktails, a short presentation about Seeds of Africa’s impact in Ethiopia, and a book signing for Philipp Schutz’ Vintage Addis Ababa: Reflections of Everyday People. The photo book is a rich exploration of Ethiopian history and culture in the nation’s capital, and makes a great gift or coffee table addition.
A portion of the proceeds from the books sold at the event will support Seeds of Africa’s education and community development efforts in Ethiopia. Seeds programs aim to provide students, families, and their larger networks with the resources they need to alleviate poverty, support themselves and reinvest in their local community.
