Bereket Yirgu first joined Seeds as Headmaster in 2016 and has led our dynamic team on the ground as the Country Director of Seeds of Africa Ethiopia since.

Originally from Assela, Ethiopia, Bereket relocated to Adama after working in orphanage management and a career in academia as a Sociology Department Head and professor at the Rift Valley University in Addis Ababa. Bereket is a certified Project Manager, and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology, a Master of Arts in Leadership, and graduated with a Master of Business Administration with a gold medal in 2021.
