SEEDING EDUCATION
Our educational philosophy is student-centered and draws inspiration from the Reggio Emilia approach, which “promotes children’s education through the development of all their languages: expressive, communicative, symbolic, cognitive, ethical, metaphorical, logical, imaginative and relational.”
Our curriculum is project-based, integrated and emergent.
PROJECT BASED
Projects are the “units” of the Seeds curriculum, are in-depth investigations of concepts, ideas, and interests that are generated by students and teachers; projects allow students to learn by doing.
INTEGRATED
An integrated curriculum cuts across subject matter lines, reflecting the world as connected and interactive, encouraging holistic teaching and learning, and preparing students to face real-world challenges.
EMERGENT
The project-based and integrated model allows new ideas, questions and challenges to grow naturally as a result of student and teacher questions and interests.
