Bereket grew up in a community where he saw many children who had great yet untapped potential due to poverty and lack educational opportunities. This opened his heart to wanting to pursue social sciences. Bereket has a degree in Sociology from Gondar University in Ethiopia. He started his practical work experience working with women and orphan children in Adama and later joined Rift Valley University where he served as an Instructor and Department Head of Sociology and Social Anthropology. He has also served as an Assessor for the Center of Competence to certify Ethiopian graduates to enter the work force across Southern Ethiopia.
Bereket holds a Master’s degree in Leadership from Vision International University, USA in collaboration with Grace Graduate School and is currently studying Business management at Rift Valley University. In his role as Community Director, Bereket works to support Seeds’ vision to provide quality education to Ethiopian youth.
